Kolašin

Mountain town in central Montenegro. Base for Biogradska Gora and Bjelasica ski areas.

Kolašin sits at roughly one thousand metres amid conifer forests and the rounded ridges of Bjelasica. The compact centre is arranged around Trg Boraca and older streets with timber details.

The town works well as a winter base for the Kolašin 1450 and Kolašin 1600 ski areas and as a summer hub for hiking, forest walks in Dulovine and meadow routes. Biogradska Gora National Park and Lake Biograd lie only a few kilometres away.

Kolašin keeps the easy pace of a small resort. It is simple to combine active outings with short strolls in the centre and tastings of local mountain cuisine.
