Citizens of 90+ countries (including the EU, US, UK, Canada, Australia) can enter Georgia visa-free for up to 1 year. You only need a valid passport. Entry is possible via Tbilisi (TBS), Kutaisi (KUT), or Batumi (BUS) airports, or land borders with Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

The currency is the Georgian lari (GEL, ₾). Cards are widely accepted in Tbilisi and Batumi – restaurants, shops, taxis. In rural areas, markets, and small cafes, cash is needed. ATMs are everywhere with minimal fees.

May-June and September-October are ideal: warm weather, fewer tourists. July-August is hot in cities but perfect for mountain hiking. Winter offers skiing (Gudauri, Bakuriani). For wine tourism in Kakheti, September–October is best (rtveli harvest season).

Marshrutkas (minibuses) and trains connect major cities (Tbilisi to Batumi in 5 hours). Renting a car is best for Kakheti and mountain regions, though mountain roads can be unpaved. In Tbilisi: metro, buses, and cheap ride-hailing apps (Bolt, YandexGo).
