How to Get from Tivat or Podgorica Airport to Your Resort?
Montenegro has two main international airports — Tivat (TIV) and Podgorica (TGD). If you’re arriving here for a vacation, the first question after landing is: how do you get to your hotel or resort? Below, we cover all available options with their pros, cons, and practical tips.
Tivat Airport: Closer to the Coast
Tivat Airport is located just 4–10 km from the most popular seaside resorts. Here are some approximate distances and travel times:
- Kotor — about 8 km, 15–25 minutes by car
- Budva — about 20 km, 30–40 minutes
- Tivat town center — about 4 km, 5–10 minutes
- Herceg Novi — about 25 km, 45 minutes to 1 hour
