Tours & experiencesMontenegro

What tours are worth it in Montenegro?

Montenegro packs coast, mountains, and old towns into a country you can cross in a day — so the best tours are the ones that stitch them together. The Bay of Kotor and Durmitor are the two anchors.

  • Boat tours of the Bay of Kotor — Our Lady of the Rocks, the Blue Cave, Mamula — are the signature half-day out.
  • Durmitor and the Tara Canyon: rafting, the Black Lake, and the Đurđevića bridge, usually a full-day trip from the coast.
  • Day trips cross borders easily — Dubrovnik (Croatia), Shkodër (Albania), and Ostrog Monastery are common add-ons.
  • Peak season is July–August; book coastal boat tours a few days ahead, and shoulder months (May–June, September) are quieter and cheaper.

Group boat and canyon tours typically run €25–60 per person; private drivers and speedboat charters cost more but suit families and small groups.

Match the tour to your base — coast for boats, north for mountains. Browse tours below.
