How to search for a no-deposit car
The Russian and English Localrent Albania interfaces have separate quick filters for "No deposit", "Full insurance", "No credit card" and "Low deposit under €100". They do not mean the same thing. A no-deposit car may offer only minimum protection, while a no-credit-card rental may still require security by another method.

Select "No deposit" if avoiding a security hold is essential. Check the under-€100 option separately if a small deposit is acceptable.
Compare the price and protection availability shown in the results.
Open the relevant car card. A filter does not replace the individual supplier terms.

What to check on the car card
The card should answer at least five questions: whether a deposit applies, which protection tiers are available, how the balance can be paid, whether the driver's age and experience qualify, and whether mileage is limited. Conditions belong to the individual car, so adjacent offers can differ.
In the checked session, a Citroen C-Elysee in Tirana for 6–13 August 2026 cost €247.38 for 7 days, or €35.34 per day. The advance was €49.47 and the balance at pickup was €197.91. The card explicitly stated no deposit. This was a dynamic quote from one session, not an average or guaranteed rate.

Deposit, excess and insurance
The deposit amount and payment method depend on the car. Excess belongs to the insurance terms. No deposit therefore cannot be read as no excess or comprehensive protection.
In the same live example, minimum protection cost €0, while Basic and Full were unavailable. Full Coverage Plus cost €140 for 7 days, or €20 per day. The comparison marked excess as "not applicable" for minimum protection and "no excess" for Plus. The interface did not show a numeric excess for the minimum tier.

A tier name does not disclose every exclusion. In the comparison, check body damage in a collision, glass, lights and wheels, plus whether a police report or European accident statement is required. Open any hidden explanation before moving to payment.

Payment and the safe stopping point
According to Localrent's booking instructions, an online booking normally requires a 15–20% advance, with the balance due at pickup. After payment, the voucher fixes the final price with the selected extras and insurance.
In our session, the advance options shown were a Russian card in RUB, the Russian Faster Payments System in RUB, or a foreign card. The balance methods shown were cash, Visa and MasterCard. These belonged to the selected car in that session and should not be assumed for every offer.

For delivery within Tirana, the next step requested an address, followed by name, date of birth, email and phone number. We stopped before entering any data and before clicking "Pay". Before continuing, reconcile the total, advance, balance, deposit status or amount, selected protection and both payment stages.

Airport pickup and route restrictions
Pickup at Tirana International Airport Nënë Tereza can be arranged with a representative handing over the car in parking near the terminal. Check the exact place, time and any delivery charge on the car card. The presence of Vlora International Airport in the directory does not confirm Localrent availability there; the walkthrough did not test it.
Regular rental cars may not be driven on unpaved roads, and insurance does not apply on those sections. Taking the car on a ferry requires the rental company's permission and special insurance.
