A blue lake on the Jezerska Povrs (Plateau of Lakes) southwest of Žabljak.

Set around 1410-1500 meters, it is one of Durmitor’s glacial lakes. Open shores give a broad landscape view with meadows and grazing land around the water.

Vražje Jezero is a small glacial lake on the Jezerska Povrs (Plateau of Lakes) of Durmitor National Park, about 12 km southwest of Žabljak on the old road to Nikšić. Sitting at ~1,411 m, it’s an easy-access spot for summer dips, strolls and photos.

Location: Jezerska Povrs, Durmitor National Park; ~12 km SW of Žabljak by the old Nikšić road.

Getting there: drive from Žabljak following signs to the plateau/Nikšić; obvious turn-offs to the shore; walk between Vražje and Riblje lakes.

Access: open shoreline within the national park—checks/fees may apply; swimming allowed but water is cold.

Visiting hours: daytime.

Visit duration: 30–90 min; up to 2 h with Riblje Jezero.

Best time: morning/golden hour; summer for brief swims.

Notes: exposed and windy—bring an extra layer; soggy patches after rain; keep vehicles off the meadows.
