History

Walser settlers colonised the Davos high valleys in the 13th century, creating scattered farms and mule paths between valleys; Sertig preserves much of this heritage. The hamlet’s church was consecrated in 1699 as a focal point of the small mountain community.

In the 20th century an improved access road and a regular bus service turned Sertig into a classic excursion valley. Today it combines short family walks to the falls with full-day pass traverses across the Albula Alps.
