History

In 1934 the world’s first T-bar lift opened at Bolgen at the foot of Jakobshorn, making Davos a winter-sports pioneer. From the late 1980s, the hill became the region’s freestyle stronghold with a pipe and a park.

The Davos–Ischalp section of the cableway opened in 1954, reaching the summit by 1958. The first section was replaced in 2014, and the second modernised in 2022, renewing stations and ropeway.
