How to Get to Zermatt – Train, Parking, Transfers
A practical guide to reaching Zermatt: train routes from Swiss airports and cities, where to park in Täsch, and how transfers work for a car-free resort.

A unique tri-national airport serving Switzerland, France and Germany.
Key things to know before arrival
EuroAirport Basel–Mulhouse–Freiburg serves three countries at once and sits just outside Basel. It’s a convenient arrival point if you’re heading to Basel, the Alsace region or southern Germany. The airport is split into French and Swiss sectors, but signage is clear and walking between them takes only a few minutes.
From the Swiss sector you can reach Basel city center by bus or transfer and continue your journey by train across Switzerland. Inside the terminal you’ll find cafés, shops, duty free and seating areas. If you’re renting a car, major rental companies operate on both the Swiss and French sides of the airport.
