Place Vendôme Mall is a luxury shopping and entertainment complex in Lusail, inspired by Parisian architecture. Developed by United Developers, it represents a blend of retail, hospitality, and lifestyle in one destination.

History

The project was launched in 2014 by United Developers, a consortium of four Qatari investors. Conceived as a French-inspired lifestyle destination, the mall aimed to bring European architectural elegance to Qatar’s new city of Lusail.

After eight years of construction, Place Vendôme Mall opened on 15 April 2022. By 2024, it welcomed 16.5 million visitors, establishing itself as one of Qatar’s busiest attractions. Expansion continued into 2025, adding new brands and over 5,000 m² of retail space.

Sustainability was integrated into the design from the outset. The pneumatic waste system processes 10 tonnes daily, separating recyclable from general waste – a rare feature for retail complexes in the region.

Practical information

Location: Lusail City, north of Doha, along the waterfront boulevard.

Getting there: Lusail QNB Metro Station, taxi, or car; large underground parking available.

Access: open daily, free entry.

Visiting hours: stores 10 am–10 pm; restaurants open later.

Visit duration: 2–4 hours.

Best time: evening, for dining and fountain shows.

Notes: air-conditioned walkways and shaded promenades; cooling systems make summer visits comfortable.
