What this place is
Crvena plaža (Red Beach) is a small pebble cove between Bar and Sutomore, famed for its reddish pebbles and sand. It sits just off the Adriatic Highway, about 4–5 km from Bar’s center.

- Shore length ~50–80 m in a snug inlet – intimate feel and clear water.
- Reddish pebbles and sand tint the seabed – the source of the beach’s name.
- A belt of pines behind the beach – natural shade and resin scent in hot hours.

Practical information
Location: between Bar and Sutomore, near the Ratac peninsula, right off the Adriatic Highway.
How to get there: 10 minutes by car from Bar toward Sutomore; park by the road and take the steps down; 25–30 minutes’ walk from Bar is also possible.
Access: public beach, free entry; seasonal paid sunbeds and umbrellas.
Visiting hours: all day; shade is best mornings and after 4 pm.
Duration: 1–3 hours or a full beach day.
Best time: May–September for swimming; shoulder seasons for walks and photos.
Special conditions: pebbles – bring water shoes; stair access and slippery rocks after rain; narrow parking by a busy road.
