Lucice Beach

What it is

Lučice Beach is a small cove within walking distance of Petrovac, on the Budva Riviera. It’s a quiet sand-and-fine-pebble beach with clear water and a Blue Flag eco-label.

History

Lučice served as a fishermen’s shelter next to the small town of Petrovac. As tourism grew in the 20th century, the shoreline was equipped while preserving the bay’s natural shape and tree belt.

In recent years the beach adopted eco-standards and services, cementing its reputation as a calm, family-oriented swimming spot near town.

Practical information

Location: Petrovac’s southern cove, Budva Riviera (Lučice Bay).
Getting there: on foot from central Petrovac; by car via E65/E80 and a short local road (limited parking in peak season).
Access: free entry; paid sunbeds/umbrellas; some hotels include sets for guests.
Visiting hours: bathing season typically May–October.
Visit length: a couple of hours to a full beach day.
Best time: mornings and after 4 pm for softer light and more shade.
Good to know: parts of the seabed are pebbly – water shoes help; southerly winds can bring swell; follow Blue Flag rules.
