A 17th-century Baroque palace housing the town museum.
The Bujović Palace was designed by Venetian architect Giovanni Battista Buon. Its facade with loggia and balconies faces the sea. Today it houses the town museum, with collections of maps, maritime relics and artefacts from Perast’s seafaring heyday.

Historical Significance
Perast experienced its golden era under Venetian Republic rule (1420-1797), when the city served as an important trading and defensive point at the entrance to Kotor Bay. It was here in 1698 that the first maritime school in the Balkans was established, where Russian boyars learned the art of navigation.
